Questions
Do I need a solicitor to make a will?
You can make a will without one, but mistakes in wording or witnessing are common and can leave your estate open to dispute. Professional drafting reduces that risk, especially where there are children, previous relationships or more than one property.
Can you draft a will remotely?
Yes. Instructions and drafts are handled by video, phone and the secure portal. You still need to sign and have the will witnessed in person under the usual formalities — we explain exactly how.
What about lasting powers of attorney?
Wills and lasting powers of attorney (LPAs) often go together. Ask us when you enquire if you also need LPAs; we can advise on suitability and next steps.
Is Law Expert a remote practice?
Yes. We advise and support clients across England and Wales without requiring office visits. Secure portal access, video consultations, and electronic documents are standard.
Do you offer fixed fees?
Wherever the work can be scoped clearly, we prefer fixed fees so you know the cost before we begin. Some matters require staged fees as the case develops.
